Collection Notes: Specimen must be collected in an EDTA trace metal tube or a serum trace metal tube. Separate serum or plasma from cells within two hours of collection. Transfer the serum or plasma into a plastic acid-washed or metal-free vial and transport at room temperature. Hemolyzed samples, plasma or serum not separated from cells within two hours or samples submitted in non-trace metal certified containers are not acceptable. | |
